EMS Structured for Quality: Best Practices in Designing, Managing and Contracting for Emergency Ambulance Service was created by experts in Emergency Medical Services, including providers of high-performance ambulance services and also those involved in contracting for services.

The program was created for the AAA as the definitive guide to how to “raise the bar” for the level of ambulance service in our nation’s communities… to achieve the balance between quality and cost factors. Fortunately, balance can be achieved if the overall emergency ambulance service system design holds the service providers accountable to simultaneously achieving the following four Essential Performance Results:
