VICE PRESIDENT OF PATIENT SERVICES
Position Summary:
Emergency Medical Services Authority is looking for a Vice President of Patient Services who will be responsible for the leadership, direction, support, administration, and financial oversight of all Emergency Medical Services Authority’s billing operations. The Vice President of Patient Services will serve as a senior executive with a direct reporting relationship to the President/CEO.
This position will be responsible for ensuring EMSA receives optimal reimbursement for its services while ensuring a cost effective operation; maintaining compliance with EMSA standards & contracts; and adhering to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations governing billing operations. Provides coordinated supervision of billing operations for and between EMSA’s Eastern and Western divisions; oversees and provides expertise in all areas of Medicare, including contracts with all payor sources. Selects, motivates, and provides for the growth of a qualified staff; obtains optimal contributions from all EMSA billing employees; and provides training necessary to ensure best practices for EMSA billing operations. Attends and participates in regional and national conferences, meetings, and advocacy group events regarding EMS reimbursement, rules, regulations, and changes.
The normal work location for this position is the Tulsa and Oklahoma City EMSA offices. In general, 3 days/week should be spent in the Oklahoma City office and 2 days/week in the Tulsa office.
Position Qualifications: (Required / Preferred)
Ideal candidates will possess a proven history of excellence in client service, leadership, operations management, and specific required competencies further described in the job position description. An Associate or Bachelor degree in Health Care, Finance, or similar field from an accredited college or university; Masters Degree in Health Care or Finance preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in a management level position and a minimum of five (5) years experience with a thorough knowledge of medical billing processes and basic accounting systems.

LIEUTENANT- SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION

Plans, develops, and implements all clinical quality initiatives of the New Britain EMS System.
Functions as the primary clinical quality liaison with local, State and regional EMS entities.
Assures all active clinical providers maintain required certifications and/or licenses.
Coordinates quality programs to assure the smooth consistent delivery of clinical services.
