Implement Terrorism Preparedness & Homeland Security Plans:
Participate in local partnerships for community safety.
Local Emergency Planners Need You…
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have distributed more than $1 billion worth of state planning grants to devise responses to terrorism incidents and other public health emergencies Some of the funds have established state and county commissions that include representatives of emergency medical service organizations who advise state government officials about where federal funds should be spent to best prepare communities.
Your outreach to local emergency planning officials and organizations will help coordinate response efforts and prioritize funding to help you and your operation become properly prepared, equipped and trained to be part of the community safety net.
Our industry depends on each of us doing our part to ensure that we are included in all terrorism and other public health emergency response plans.
